Why Water is not Enough.

Common sense tells us that if we are losing water through our skin (aka sweat) and we are overheated and thirsty, we should drink plenty of water to rehydrate ourselves. Pouring water post or during a workout may not be enough to get your system back on track as water is not the only substance that we sweat out. When you drink just water, the electrolytes in your tissues are diluted; basically, drinking plain water can relieve thirst while dehydrating you.
